New Orleans (+5) at Green Bay
The Stadium will be electric tonight to start the 2011 NFL season. The Lombardi Trophy is coming back to Title Town. I can't wait ‘til kick off tonight. I hate all the extras thrown in to this game every year. Regardless, tonight's game is a great matchup of powerhouse football teams. The past year's Super Bowl winner has never lost a Thursday opener. They are 8-0 straight-up since they started this special season opener. I don't pick games straight up though. I think The Saints will be able to keep this game close throughout. You have 2 great offenses and 2 above average defenses playing tonight. So what's the X-factor? Drew Brees is money when he's an underdog (Thanks WC). Also, The Pack will be too focused on the pre-game festivities and the public has a slight lean on Green Bay in this game. The Dog has covered the last two years remember? Take The Points and The Saints here. (1 Unit) **unit change**

The New Orleans Saints did a lot of work this off season. No less than 17 veteran players were brought in via free agency or trade. They have stocked up the O line, gotten beefy along the D line, and retooled the running game. They play in a tough division,...

It has been known for sometimes that the Washington football team's mascot(Redskins) is offensive and racist toward Native Americans. Some say its not offensive because it is just the name of a native american tribe. I am sorry to inform those people but that is horrible wrong. The Florida State...

According to sources on both sides, the League’s owners and the NFL Players Association (NFLPA) have reached an agreement on the remaining points needed in their 10-year labor deal. Despite the progress, the NFL lockout still continues until a majority of the NFL players vote on the new agreement. The...

Hypocrisy comes in many forms. This time it comes in the form of top NFL QBs Brady, Manning and Brees going public to say that “it’s time for a deal.” All NFL fans want a deal to be sure but wasn’t it their lawsuit that started this whole thing or...

Since September 11, 2001, Americans have come together as never before in our generation. We have banded together to overcome adversity. We have weathered direct attacks on our own soil, wars overseas, corporate/government scandal, layoffs, unemployment, stock price plunges, droughts, fires, mad cow, SARS, high gasoline prices, and a myriad...

For the most part many NFL draft writers have praised the 2011 New Orleans Saints draft class. I think this boils down to an argument over need and value. On the value side, I think the Saints did very well. However, on the need side I stand much more skeptical....
