DATELINE: NOT SO HAPPY VALLEY Joe Paterno was defiant and contemptuous till the end. He dared his Penn State University Board of Trustees to fire him. PSU had caved in to his every whim for 45 years, but enough is enough. On Wednesday night, just days after the worst sex...

Joe Paterno has been fired as Penn State's head coach of nearly 50-years. I always say when one door closes, another one opens up. It just so happens the Eagles will be in need of a new Head Coach shortly. Paterno could fit the bill quite nicely. Could you see...

Sport Illustrated has reported that Penn State head football coach Joe Paterno will step down at year’s end. For some, it is not soon enough. For others, it is about retaining some form of dignity for a coach who deserves much more. But really, when was Paterno, 84, going to...

Talk about the ying and yang of life. The week following Joe Paterno’s 409th victory, a 10-7 win over Northwestern, the campus was rocked by the news that former defensive coordinator Jerry Sandusky had been arrested on 40 counts of molesting eight young boys over a 15-year period. The situation...

I am still in a mild state of shock about the way the Stanford-USC game ended. The Trojans deserved better, and the people who bet on the Trojans certainly deserved better! After a well-played game ended regulation tied, the game went to OT and the ridiculous rules the NCAA employs....
