Ravens beat Browns 24-10 on strength of Rice

All season long people have been screaming for the Ravens (9-3) to feed running back Ray Rice the ball. Sunday afternoon appeared to be the beginning of that.

Rice got the ball handed to him 29 times and rewarded the Ravens with a career-high 204 yards and a touchdown against the overmatched Browns' defense. The Ravens' offense started with a 30-yard run from Rice in the first quarter and didn't stop.

The Ravens rode Rice en route to a 24-10 victory over the Browns (4-8). Ricky Williams added 76 yards on 16 carries and also scored a touchdown.

Baltimore barely threw the ball against the Browns, as Joe Flacco completed just 10-for-23 for 158 yards. He also lost a fumble that was forced by Jabaal Sheard.

The Ravens sacked Cleveland quarterback Colt McCoy three times, including two from Pernell McPhee. McPhee now has seven sacks on the season.

To add to the scoring, cornerback Lardarius Webb returned a punt return for a touchdown to give the Ravens their final scoring play.

The Ravens know they need to win out in order to have at least one home playoff game. They will face the Indianapolis Colts next Sunday in Baltimore.
