Ravens continue trend, lose to Seahawks 22-17
The Ravens repeated their pattern of having a letdown after a big win the previous week. Baltimore (6-3) drops in to second place in the AFC North after a 22-17 loss to the Seattle Seahawks (3-6).
Seattle stuck it to the Ravens by running Marshawn Lynch at them. Lynch gained 109 yards and got in the end zone for Seattle's only touchdown of the day.
Even so, it's tough to pin this one on the defense or offense. Special teams delivered the dagger for the Ravens. Billy Cundiff missed two 50-plus-yard field goals and David Reed had two lost fumbles. Each of Reed's fumbles set up two field goals for the Seahawks.
Reed wasn't returning kicks after his second fumble. Cundiff nailed one field goal and two extra points, but the two misses cost the Ravens six points.
The Ravens can move in to first place next week if they beat the visiting Cincinnati Bengals.
