Ravens beat San Francisco 16-6, to move to 8-3
Sorry for my lack of updates today. Being that it's Thanksgiving I had a lot of family time. Happy Thanksgiving, by the way!
From the opening whistle, the Baltimore Ravens (8-3) seemed ready to roll against the San Francisco 49ers (9-2). On the opening drive of the game, Joe Flacco led the offense down the field for a Billy Cundiff field goal.
The big play of the game, though, was a touchdown pass from Flacco to tight end Dennis Pitta in the third quarter. It was Pitta's first-career touchdown and it gave the Ravens a 13-6 lead.
That was the big offensive play, but the defense was the story.
Led by Terrell Suggs, the defense sacked 49ers quarterback Alex Smith nine times. They also intercepted Smith, just the fifth of his season. The interception was forced by Lardarius Webb.
Suggs ended the game with three sacks.
At the end of the day, it was 16-6 Ravens.
