No. 66 Sprint Cup crewman suspended

NASCAR announced on Thursday that Charles Day, a crew member for the No. 66 HP Racing team (driver Michael McDowell) in the Sprint Cup Series, has been indefinitely suspended, because he violated NASCAR’s substance abuse policy.

NASCAR cited sections 12-1 (actions detrimental to stock car racing) and 19 (violation of NASCAR’s substance abuse policy) of the 2011 NASCAR rule book.
