NFL Week 10 Free Picks From The Guru
Last Week 3-3 (even)
Season 19-22-3 ( -9 Units )
Last Season 53-47-2 ( +21.5 Units )
Week 10 in the NFL and I'm very confident with the schedule this week although the Chargers laid a huge egg last night and made me look like a complete idiot. It was the first time all season the Raiders burned me. It really wasn't even the Raiders. It was the Chargers. Philip Rivers played like garbage and it seemed to me (and a lot of other people as well) that the Chargers gave up at the end. Vincent Jackson is a waste as well. One thing is for certain, Norv Turner is done as coach very soon. Sunday pick time. Here we go!
New Orleans (-1) at Atlanta
New Orleans is great at home and average on the road. Atlanta has really turned their season around and are looking to take over as number one in their division. Statement game for Atlanta. Drew Brees continues his road woes. Atlanta wins. (2 Units)
New England (+2) at NY Jets
Well, the Jets defense really surprised me last week with their performance against the Bills. New England, on the other hand, has played 2 awful games in a row. The way I feel about this pick though is that New England can't play 3 bad weeks. No way! I know the Jets will play inspired ball against their most hated enemy, but The Pats get it done on the road. Take the points and Tom Brady. (4 Units)
Denver (+3) at Kansas City
I'm just not buying into this Tim Tebow experiment. The spread option works great in college, but, like the wildcat, will get old in the pros. I think a week of looking at tapes will have the Chiefs defense ready for Tebow. Give up the points. The Chiefs win at home. (3 Unit)
Buffalo (+5.5) at Dallas
The Cowboys do NOT fare well when they are favorites. Even though they should be able to run all over the Bills this week, Fitzpatrick and company will have enough to keep this close. Dallas wins, but Buffalo covers. Take the points. ( 3 Units )
Baltimore (-6.5) at Seattle
This year Baltimore is playing to the level of their competition. They have played great against great teams (i.e. Pittsburgh, Hosuton, Jets), but they play awful against awful teams. (Jacksonville, Arizona, Tennessee). I'm playing the trend here. Take the points and the Seahawks. (1 Units)
NY Giants ( +3.5) at San Francisco
The 49ers are the surprise of the NFL this year. They are playing ridiculously well. When I look at handpicapping this game though, I'm looking at the Giants road record. They have been the best in the NFL over the past couple seasons and have kept that up this year. I like the value also at 3.5. Take the points and the road team. ( 2 Units )
I'm also loving a side for the Monday night game. Check back then for a MNF special.
