Reggie White, Darren Daulton, Jim Eisenreich and Vaughn Hebron.
All athletes who played for Philadelphia teams, are known for their time in Philadelphia, but won world championships with other teams.
Now there is another team with five Super Bowl championships in line, at 8-1, with a chance as good as any team collect another Super Bowl.
The San Francisco 49ers. David Akers is their kicker.
His old team, the Eagles, are 3-6 after losing to the Cardinals 21-17 on Sunday.
This is the same David Akers who kicked for the Eagles for 12 seasons.
The same David Akers who was selected to five Pro Bowls.
The same David Akers, who missed two field goals in the Eagles’ 21-16 first round loss to eventual Super Bowl champions, Green Bay Packers.
Akers, after the game, disclosed that his daughter malignant cyst in her left ovary.
So, the Eagles let him go in favor of draft choice Alex Henery.
Was Akers bitter about being cut by the Eagles?
Nope.
He took out a billboard to thank the fans of Philadelphia for his 12 years in the city.
So, if Akers win a Super Bowl, good for him.
Then, he will just another former Philadelphia athlete who wins a championship with another team, other than the Eagles.
