Dallas Cowboys Creep into NFC Playoff Picture
With the Cowboys solid win over the Buffalo Bills and the NY Giants loss out on the West Coast to the 49ers the Cowboys have crept back into the NFC playoff discussion.
This would have been unthinkable just a few weeks ago. They still find themselves looking from the outside as they sit in the 7th spot in the NFC. It looked like the only way the Cowboys would make the playoffs would have been a collapse by the Giants but now not only is the Wild Card a real discussion the Giants and the division are also in sight.
The Cowboys have the benefit of a weak schedule the next three weeks. They play the Skins who they have already beaten and are a mess, then they return home on Thanksgiving Day to play the weak Dolphins at home. Then after a long week off they travel to Arizona for a rematch with the Cardinals who they should outclass. The Christmas day loss from last year should be motivation there.
If the Cowboys can take care of business the next three weeks they will have their destiny in their own hands as they play the Giants twice in a four week span in December and early January. The first game is at home so they will have home field advantage.
After that anything can happen. No matter what they will be part of the playoff discussion.
