10 days off provides extra rest for Ravens
It sucks that the Baltimore Ravens had to play a Thursday night after a Sunday afternoon game. However, it provides some extra rest for a team that's slightly banged up.
Ray Lewis missed his second consecutive game Thursday night with a toe injury. Maybe the 10 days rest will give him a chance to make it out on the field against the Cleveland Browns Dec. 4.
In addition to Lewis, backup linebakcer Dannell Ellerbe could use the extra time to get his hamstring healed up.
Baltimore's defense is also a little older. The defense will be rejuvented when they get back from their mini bye week and ready to go the last fives weeks of the season.
