Cowboys Blow Late Lead Again – Fall to Patriots
If you had told me that the Cowboys would be up by 3 points with seconds to go in a game in Foxboro, I would have said that the Cowboys had played another great game. If you told me that the Cowboys blew the game late I would have told you that I would not be upset and that there would be a moral victory to playing such a good team to such a close outcome.
Screw that! I’m pissed.
The Cowboys again had every chance to win this game and they just couldn’t make that one last play that they need to win the game.
2-3 Sucks! It does not matter that all three game the Cowboys lead late in the fourth quarter only to lose the game.
This week’s installment was just as painful as the previous two losses. Did the defense play well? Yes, they did holding Brady and company to only 20 points a season low for the Patriots. But again it just wasn’t good enough.
Romo had his chance to get up by 7 points late but had to settle for a FG with Dez Bryant standing all alone in the end zone. Brady when he needed to just drove his team down the field and you just hand that feeling that the Cowboys were just not going to be able to stop it.
There are no Moral Victories in the NFL and the Cowboys playoff chances may have just gone out the window. The Cowboys do have a weak schedule for the next few weeks but you can’t help but feel that they will find a way to grasp losing from the jaws of victory.
