I love that the NFL is back. I love that fantasy is back. God, I love football. I somehow got myself caught up in 3 fantasy leagues this year. I'm not sure how. It just happened. What I do realize is that it’s hard to keep up with 3 teams. I'm not really sure what players I have ‘cause I forget what league they are in. I have to figure out a system real soon. Anyway, here are your NFL picks for week one.
Atlanta (-3) at Chicago
Everyone is on Atlanta like they know the final score already. I don't see how you can discount the Bears like that. They are a tough team at home. Don't forget they almost made it to the Super Bowl last year! Take the points and the home dog. (1 Unit)
Indianapolis (+9) at Houston
I was kind of in shock when the line went up this high. I understand it’s Kerry Collins, but this is still the Colts. These two teams play each other tough no matter what and I don't think this weekend will be any different. Take all those points and the Colts to cover this one. (2 units)
Pittsburgh (+1.5) at Baltimore
I know my Steelers and not only do they play well as underdogs, they play well in Baltimore and they are fantastic the first game of the season. I see no difference this year. Baltimore didn't impress anyone this preseason. Look for Pittsburgh to dominate here. Take the points and the Steelers. (4 Units)
Tennessee (+2) at Jacksonville
I have no faith right now in Jacksonville with McCown as their QB. I also think Tennessee is going to be a lot better than people think now that they don't have to play Peyton Manning twice. I say take the points and the Titans here. (3 Units)
Dallas (+6) at NY Jets
The only thing I see here is 2 very even teams. I would even give Dallas the edge offensively. The Jets will play well at home. I see a close 3 point game. Take the points and Dallas to cover. (2.5 Units)
I will be back for a Monday Night 2 game special. Please check back then.
