As the rain continues to fall and the affects of the hurricane creep up the coastline, the Eagles play host to the Cleveland Browns tonight at the Linc. After last Thursdays "beating," ( to me the score didn't indicate how awful they looked ) I'll be eager to see how the birds bounce back. I'm going to pay attention to numerous factors throughout the game but in particular will be watching out for; how Vick plays after last week's nightmare and how the starting linebacker core looks with rookie Casey Matthews. I feel like people still are NOT over the whole Vick and dog fighting so they don't want to see the start shine. After last week's three interception performance, I looked up last pre-season and saw that he had a similar game last year, but as we saw that didn't stop Mike from having a sensational season. Many people around the league are knocking the Eagles linebacking core due to their lack of size and experience; but with nine out of the 10 linebackers having five years or less I can't blame them. Every team has a test and the goal of the Superbowl, and to reach that goal, you have to pass those tests, and concur any obstacles that come your way. By week one, I expect to see Casey Matthews, Jamar Chaney, and Moise Fokou starting despite their combined five years under the belts, and average size of 6'1 and weight of 236. Well until then, I along with other Eagles fans, can only hope for another safe, injury-free preseason game tonight, and hopefully a win. The game won't be televised until 11 P.M. est on the NFL Network, so tune in and get ready for a hell of a ball game.
