Another way to help the economy and the consumer
Insurance companies advertise like crazy. They are all over the airwaves. What if they reduced their advertising budgets by 50% and passed the savings on to the consumer?
Gasoline is a necessary commodity. What if the petroleum companies cut their advertising budgets in half and reduced the price of a gallon of gas commensurate to the money saved in their advertising budgets?
Super market chains, drug stores, department store chains, and hardware/home improvement stores are other businesses that could reduce advertising and prices.
More money in the pocket of consumers—more money to spend equals a stimulation of the economy and hopefully creation of jobs in the private sector.
