New York Yankees Round-Up July 25th: Rain Delay Edition

Rain So the New York Yankees are currently in a rain delay against the Seattle Mariners and are set to take the field again at 9:00pm. Here are just some points to highlight for the day's Bombers' Banter news for July 25th.

-Hideki Kuroda said that he has not dropped anyone from the teams that he wouldn't mind being traded to. The Yankees and Red Sox were reportedly out earlier, because the Dodgers' pitcher had a desire to stay on the West Coast.

-Alex Rodriguez is doing fine when it comes to being on pace to return to the Yankees' line-up. Everything is going according to plan. The earliest time for his return could be the second week in August according to General Manager Brian Cashman.

-Rafael Soriano could come back very soon, but Joe Girardi has not said a word about who's role will be what in the Yankees bullpen. Robertson has been stellar as the Yankees' set-up man in the absence of Soriano and Joba Chamberlain. Soriano was signed as the main piece in the Bridge to Mariano. One main concern is how upset he might get if he doesn't get the role he was promised.

-The Seattle Mariners are in town now, but Yankee fans should not get their hopes up about a possible deal across the field for Felix Hernandez. The Mariners will most likely not move their ace as the trade deadline approaches.

-Mike Adams of the San Diego Padres was a reliever that the Yankees were strongly considering, but yesterday the Padres pulled him off the trading block.

-Interesting Fact: Freddy Garcia is on the mound for the Yankees tonight and will go for his ninth win of the season. Most definitely a lot more than anyone expected when the Yankees acquired him.
