NFL News: Charges Against Britt Reduced

Well folks, as we wait for tomorrow's court ruling regarding the current NFL lockout here is some more legal stuff. Titans receiver Kenny Britt, a  former Rutgers University star, was charged with evading arrest after an April 12 car chase in New Jersey.

However, Hudson County Prosecutor Edward DeFazio decided to lessen the charges; "The case was sent for review to make sure (there was) nothing more to it," DeFazio said Wednesday. "In this situation, nobody was hurt, and since he had no prior criminal record, the matter was sent down to Bayonne Municipal Court."

This is significant since the charge is now only a misdemeanor. It is unclear what if any actions the league may take once the labor dispute is settled.
