Chisenhall provides a glimpse of promise, hope
The Cleveland Indians organization looked horrible this weekend. 16 strikeouts in last night's contest. 4 runs in 3 games. 6 errors in the same 3 games. What to do? I was contemplating dealing Sizemore or Carmona for prospects and selling off this 2011 season. I was getting desperate as a fan. Enter Chisenhall.
Chisenhall is not the total solution. 1st place may never be ours again. However, it was an excellent move because the alternative to him was even worse. With Chisenhall, the Indians have a better chance at staying competitive. Isn't this what we want in Cleveland? I want a pennant race in July, August and September. With Chisenhall, Cleveland may just get a pennant race. Amen!
I look forward to his debut tonight as he bats 7th and starts at 3rd base vs. Ian Kennedy of the Diamondbacks. Against right-handers, Chisenhall bats .292 and .285 on the road. Hopefully this translates to success tonight and throughout his promising career. We shall see tonight at 9:05 pm EDT
