Bowl With The NFL
TINTON FALLS, N.J.: Saturday, June 18, the Eric LeGrand Believe Fund is hosting a bowling party with NFL Alumni and sports celebrities at the Brunswick Zone in North Brunswick, N.J.
The sports figures expected to attend are former New York Giants members George Martin, Karl Nelson, Scott Bruner, Sean Landetta, and Curtis McGriff. Former Green Bay Packers Dave Robinson and Chuck Mercein. And Hall of Fame basketball coach Bob Hurley. There will be sports celebrities at every lane and they will rotate periodically. All proceeds will go to Eric LeGrand.
The Eric LeGrand Believe Fund started after former Rutgers Scarlet Knights junior defensive tackle, Eric LeGrand, suffered a spinal cord injury in a game against the Army last October and was paralyzed. Recently, LeGrand has made physical progress; he no longer uses a tracheotomy and he has movement and feeling back in certain parts of his body. He has been out of the hospital and staying with family. He goes to the Kessler Institute for Rehabilitation twice a week. LeGrand still attends classes at Rutgers Univeristy via Skype and he has been busy speaking at worthy causes. This weekend, June 10, he plans to speak at the opening ceremony of the New Jersey Special Olympics.
