The NBA Finals begin tonight and there is no better time to begin our Basement Bookie blog. We will blog about all things when it comes to sports gambling along with giving our picks of the night. You can track our record right along with us and as always we love feedback.

Let's get to tonight's big game. The Mavericks open the series on the road as 4.5 underdogs. The Mavericks have been huge against the spread in these playoffs and the public is riding them hard tonight as about 65% of the money is coming in on the Mavericks. It appears as both the public and the sharps are backing the Mavericks tonight.
Normally this makes me want to jump on the other side. However, tonight I also feel real good about the Mavericks. I actually think they are going to steal Game 1 tonight.
The Heat don't exactly have a great home court advantage and I don't believe that Wade is close to being 100%. Look for the Mavericks to throw a lot of zone at the Heat and make them make outside shots. I like the Mavericks to win outright but not brave enough to play that moneyline yet.
