NFL News: Portis Lobbying Giants

Former Washington Redskins running back Clinton Portis has a team on top of his 2011 wish list. That team is the New York Giants. Portis who was recently released by Washington, feels he has much to prove:

"I just need to be able to come out and show what I'm capable of," said Portis, who's 77 rushing yards shy of 10,000 in his career. "... I think it's revitalizing to have an opportunity and still have the drive and still have the hunger to go out and prove people wrong."

Portis singled out the NY Giants as a primary team that he would love to play for. He cited the Giants reliance on rushing the football, a top flight quarterback in Eli Manning as well as a top notch offensive line.

Oh, he also mentioned how much he would love to stick it to washington twice per season...
