‘When In Rome’ Jersey Style Then Splits Ville
NEW BRUNSWICK, N.J. – Jersey Shore cast hits the old country to show how Italian they really are for season four and then spin-off central soon after.
Earlier this year MTV announced that season four of their hit show The Jersey Shore would be filmed in Italy. They have shot season one and three in Seaside Heights, N.J. and season two in Miami. The move to film in Italy was inspired their fans and criticizers comments to ship them off to the very country they parade as the birthplace of their heritage. The show has supposedly started filming: it was due to start filming in the Spring. The new season will air later on this year.
As MTV anticipates the decline in viewership of the show, with the decline in last season’s ratings after a few episodes as their proof, they have opted for three of the cast members to get their own reality shows. Nicole “Snookis” Polizzi, Paul “DJ Pauly D” Delvecchio, and Jenni “JWOWW” Farley were given the green light to have their own shows.
“The ‘Jersey Shore’ cast is at the center of the show’s ongoing success and Nicole, Pauly D and Jenni have become household names as a result of their unique, sometimes outrageous and often hilarious personalities,” said Chris Linn, MTV executive vice president of programming and head of production.
Their shows will most likely debut in 2012. They will show Pauly D with his friends pursuing his international DJ career, and the other will be about Snooki and JWOWW’s friendship.
