NFL Draft: New Orleans Saints Round 1 Pick 28

The Saints acquired the 28th pick of the 2011 NFL draft from the Patriots and used it to select 2009 Heisman Trophy winner Mark Ingram, Running Back from Alabama.

As a sophomore, Ingram won the first Heisman Trophy in Alabama history. He is a punishing running back who has great vision and can get hidden yards. In 2010, Ingram had 875 rushing yards and 13 touchdowns. He added an additional 282 yards receiving and a touchdown.
