NFL Draft: Minnesota Vikings Round 1 Pick 12

With the 12th overall selection of the 2011 NFL draft the Vikings select Christian Ponder, QB out of Florida State.

Rumors that the Vikings would trade down were quashed when Goodell announced the pick. The crowd at Radio City Music Hall had a mixed reaction to the announcement. Ponder led the ACC in passing and is a solid pocket passer, but is he capable of being the leader the Vikings need?
