MLB News: Batters Beware Francisco and Ubaldo Return Tonight!
The Toronto Blue Jays Frank Francisco has remained on track and will return to the team for tonight's game. Francisco was on the disabled list with soreness in his right pectoral muscle and inflammation in his right biceps. The Jays may use Francisco in a role other then closer since Jon Rauch has been so effective in his absence. This will allow him to throw a few frames in a less pressure situation and work his way back to the closer role.
The Colorado Rockies have not needed their ace up to this point in the season but the return of Ubaldo Jimenez is still music to the team's ears. Ubaldo had a flareup of a cut on the cuticle of his right thumb on Opening Day and has not pitched since. In that time the Rockies have a 12-4 record, tied for the best in baseball. Getting a Cy Young Award caliber pitcher back on a team that has started so well should be a real shot in the arm for a team expected to be a real contender in the National League West.
