iPhone 5 to be introduced in September
There is a strong possibility the iPhone 5 will be announced in September, according to All Thing’s Digital’s John Paczkowski. Over the past few weeks, it seemed like the iPhone 5 would not see any kind of debut this year due to setbacks in plants and the devastation in Japan, but now it appears otherwise.
According to All Thing’s Digital’s John Paczkowski, Apple won’t unveil the iPhone 5 at the WWDC as it did with the iPhone 4 last year, instead it will focus on software like the iOS 5. Paczkowski also speculates that Apple will use its September media event to debut the iPhone 5.
Paczkowski has good contacts in the industry, so his report should be taken seriously. While Apple has introduced a new iPhone at the last two years at the WWDC, it makes sense as the production is not in order to begin until September, and it would also give Apple more time to perfect the iPhone 5. This would lead to fewer faults in the iPhone that could hinder the device’s capabilities like the death grip on both the AT&T and Verizon iPhone 4.
