Happy No Tax Day 2011!

Taxburden Yesterday, was the dreaded final tax filing day in the United States but it's not as dreaded as it used to be.  It is estimate that there are so many tax right offs and other tax break give aways like the Earned Value Tax credit (which is welfare by another name) that 45% (or 140 million people) of all US households will pay no federal taxes this year.

How can this be?

How can so many people who enjoy the benefits of being a US citizen not pay any taxes at all.  The tax system in this country is to say the least certainly broke and to say the most corrupt.

There are only about 10% of the households in the country that would be considered poor.  The other 35% are just not pulling their collective weight.

I hear alot of politicians talking about share sacrifice.  I say fix the system via the Fare Tax or Flat Tax system.

This reminds me of that Billy Ray Cyrus song:

All Gave Some, Some Gave All

I guess the update to the song will be:

Some Give Alot, Some Gave None
