Maryland lacrosse: A real reason to fear the Turtle

Maryland women’s lacrosse just picked up its 20th straight win.

The No.1 Terps are now 10-0 this season after they roared past No.10 James Madison on Saturday. Laura Merrifield continued her dominant season, netting four goals, with three coming in the first half. Merrifield’s outstanding performance complements her ACC Offensive Player of the Week honors given to her in early March.

The defending national champs also received multiple-goal performances from Karri Ellen Johnson who tallied three as well as Katie Schwarzmann, Brandi Jones, Beth Glaros and Sarah Mollison who all put two into the back of the net.

The Terps are 6-0 against nationally ranked opponents this season and are right on track to defend their 2010 national title.Lax
