Trap Game

This afternoon, the Indianapolis Colts will host the Dallas Cowboys.

Now before you lock this one in as a guaranteed win for Indy (although, I'm pretty sure they're going to win), I just want to warn you that this could be a trap game.

Yes, I know that Cowboys' franchise quarterback, Tony Romo, is still out- but the air attack is not what I'm worried about (last week the Colts held Phillip Rivers to 185 yards and no touchdowns).

The Colts secondary isn't broken.

But the run defense is garbage (seriously, I could rush for 150 yards and a touchdown against Indy, and I'm not that good).

Keeping the game on the ground helps the Cowboys in two ways: they play to the weakness of the Colts defense and it keeps Peyton Manning off the field.

On the other side of the ball, the Colts have one of the worst offensive lines that I can remember (O-line coach, Pete Metzelaars is no Howard Mudd) and they're playing against one of the best pass rushers in the league, DeMarcus Ware.

And Dallas runs a 3-4 defense, which historically gives the Colts fits.

That being said, I still think the Colts win.

I don't see Manning and company drop three in a row. Especially, when they get two of them at home.

And the press has been attacking Peyton Manning all week (he's lost his touch, calls go his way, etc...)

So, I expect Peyton Manning to show everyone, why he's (still) the best player in the league.
