Wisconsin at Michigan Winner

I took myself out of the lineup for a couple days after the Bowling Green fiasco. That game was a third straight loss, and dropped me to 27-24 on the year. Looking to come back strong on Saturday.

Many people would not agree with me on this one, but I think a good way to try and snap a 3 game losing streak, is to find a game you really like, and take a huge swing at it. And that is exactly what I'm going to do.

Wisconsin opened as a 6 point favorite at Michigan, and has since been bet down to 4. The money is on Michigan, mainly because they are playing at home. The crowd at The Big House will certainly be a big-time ally for the Wolverines. Michigan also has one-time Heisman frontrunner Denard Robinson at quarterback. He is an electrifying player, who breaks off long touchdown runs almost every game.

But I am going to go against the way the money is moving in this one --> I love Wisconsin here. The Badgers come in at 9-1, and are the 6th ranked team in the country. They have won and covered their last 4 games, and they were all super impressive. They beat Ohio State in a game where they a 4 point underdog. They won at Iowa, as a 6 point dog. Last week hung 83 points on the board, annihilating Indiana 83-20.

Wisconsin's strength on offense is running the ball. Their primary back, John Clay is likely not to play, but his two backups-James White and Montee Ball-are both excellent backs. Clay missed last weeks game as well, and the Hoosiers clearly showed they had no problem putting up points.

Michigan comes in at 7-3, but that is after starting the season 5-0. The Wolverines have not covered a game in their last six.  They are ranked 100th in the country in total defense, and in their 6 game non-cover skid, they have given up 38.2 points a game.

Wisconsin is the much better team. They have shown all year that they can play well on the road. The Big House will not intimidate them. Meanwhile, Michigan has not even played great at home. They recently lost back-to-back home games against Michigan State and Iowa. Robinson is a tremendous player, but is injury prone and it wouldn't surprise me to see him not finish the game.

But short of that, Wisconsin's defense is stout enough to contain Robinson. The Badgers have the 25th ranked rush defense in the land, and have the speed to make things difficult on Michigan.

This seems like a line where the bookies had it right to start, with Wisconsin -6. I would recommend getting down on Wisconsin as soon as possible to get the 4. Its always good to get every 1/2 point you can, even in a game like this when the Badgers will win by double digits. The total in this game opened at 66 and has been bet up to 67.5. If I was to lean on that number, I would say go over.

Take Wisconsin, -4
