Gonzalez Could Break Out
On Monday night, the Indianapolis Colts take on the Houston Texans in an AFC South first place battle.
But enough about that (for now).
This week my beloved Ragin' Stallions take on my boss's team- First Down Syndrome (fresh off their first win of the season).
When I first looked at the match up I was sure they were going to win two in a row (how embarrassing). I knew I was screwed- because I've got receiver problems (this week).
The New York Giants and my main man- Hakeem Nicks are on a bye.
Mike Williams and the Seattle Seahawks will be taking on the Oakland Raiders. The Seahawk will probably win- but Williams will be shadowed all day by Nnamdi Asomugha (arguably the best corner back in the league- sorry Revis).
And my number three this week would've been Louis Murphy, but he's out.
I was going to have to start Brandon Tate, but I don't want to have to depend on a Patriot.
I had resolved myself to a (practically) guaranteed loss, until I realized...
That no one had picked up Anthony Gonzalez.
Suddenly, there was a ray of hope for my precious ponies.
With Austin Collie and Dallas Clark out, Gonzalez will get a lot of looks, and (even though he hasn't played much the past two seasons) he's a talented guy that knows this offense.
If Gonzalez can get (stay) on the field, he's the kind of mid season pick up that could turn around my fantasy football season.
Of course, he could also get injured on the first play from scrimmage and be out for the rest of the season too.
