season opens with a loss

Got the prediction of the score wrong...just got it the
wrong way round!

It was a close one, but it’s tough when you’re
always trailing on the road, particularly when you lose the turnover battle and
the home team can control the ground game.

On the plus side the team battled well in stifling
conditions...on the down side they just didn’t look good enough to get
the job done.

Orton looked solid enough, but the game changing ability
just isn’t there. Same goes for Moreno, who doesn’t seem good
enough to carry a team. The makeshift OL doesn’t help.

Pressure by the front seven is distinctly lacking, with
limited pass rush & no disruption of the running game. Garrard had time to
throw and 70% completion and 3TDs was the result. If the Broncos can’t
improve the output of the defensive line in particular, it is going to be a
tough season!
