Oakland's fall, the bits and pieces afterwards...
Well, the result of having momentum, and reality collide, was painful on Sunday.
But, as most of the Raider Nation has seen, we weren't the only club to get a shock to the system in week one.
Denver and San Diego both lost, and if it wasn't for the Chiefs winning, the AFC West might have gone 0-4, if not for the matchup of the Chargers with those Chiefs.
Each team had it's share of mistakes, ranging from the Raiders getting stonewalled on a 76 yard TD run, to Lloyd's one foot in catch near the end of the game, to San Diego's epic failures in Arrowhead on a return by Dexter McCluster....folks, we're only 0-1....there's another 15 games in front of us.
From the injury field, Robert Gallery may be out this week, depending on what happens with his hamstring issue. Some of the players gone early Sunday, like Michael Huff will be back, but a lot depends on how injuries respond. One bright spot, is that Michael Bush practiced today without restrictions....given medical clearance, we might see him running the ball Sunday too.
I'm not sold on bringing Erik Pears back though....he was a joke in the preseason, and unless he's suddenly grown a brain, I can only hope that Gallery will be back. Otherwise, we're going to be missing a critical piece of our offense this Sunday.
More to come, Go Raiders!
