Oakland's 2010 Preseason coming to a close

For the Raiders, tonight's game against the Seahawks will be less about winning, but more about finding out which players will have a job, come the time of the cut-down process. 22 players will be looking either for another home, or will sit for a year, wondering what happened.

For others, they will have the right and the honor to play for the Oakland Raiders, part of the 53 man roster that will prepare for the first game of the season, 10 days later against the Titans.

Some players may luck out and be planted on the practice squad, not as bad as being completely cut free, but the NFL's version of limbo.

Some of the names, that seem to be stuck in the in-between degree, range from Yamon Figures, Rock Cartwright, Johnnie Lee Higgins, Shaun Bodiford, Daniel Loper and Erik Pears.

Others, like Michael Bennett had their chances increased, by the injuries sustained by specific players. With Michael Bush and his broken thumb, Bennett may have a good chance to make the club.

And some players, like Swayze Waters, probably understood it would take a plane crash to make the team...were playing for time, and hoping to hop onto another club's eyesight.

Good luck guys...tonight, the game starts at 8pm.
