Oakland and some home cooking...Back to .500?

Oakland fans knew that beating the Titans would have required a full-bore effort, flawless choices on action, no injuries and perfect execution across the board.

Oakland not only failed to achieve these key items, but suffered several injuries, with two still tilting towards non-play tomorrow. One is Robert Gallery, the best offensive linemen we've had and Richard Seymour, a defensive specialist that is supposed to be a "steal" last year before the season started.

Ironically, both have a similar injury, hamstring injuries. A total of six different players were struck with this ailment, making one wonder about the conditioning regimin that is in effect in Oakland.

As it is, there isn't a lot to worry about, after all, St Louis has one win in the last season, and lost last week when rookie first round pick Sam Bradford's late interception killed their game against the Cards. Three picks, and the wonder is, will he be foolish enough to go after Asomugha?

The last time a QB was ambitious enough to challenge him, go back to Jake Delhomme, with the Panthers. Aso put on a clinic, that should have resulted in a win, if only the Raiders had some offense that game. As it was, somehow Delhomme had less than 100 yards offense...but still won the game.

I'm going to guess here, but three players will be doing dives into the black hole tomorrow, Louis Murphy will get one, Darrius Heyward Bay will be in the crowd, and for added measure, on a pitchout, Darren McFadden will go to town. Might be added fun as well, but it'll be worth the price of admission...plenty of tickets are left to be had.

Raider Nation, this is a great time to watch the game in Oakland....if only a one way trip wasn't 2000 miles. Raider On!
