Ravens trim roster by two
With rosters due to be at 75 players by Tuesday at 4 p.m., the Baltimore Ravens made two more moves.
The Ravens placed linebacker Brendon Ayanbadejo and running back Matt Lawrence on the reserve physically-unable-to-perform (PUP) list, according to multiple sources.
Ayanbadejo is recovering from a torn quadriceps that he suffered last season and Lawrence is still nursing a knee injury.
By placing these two players on the PUP list the Ravens don't use a roster for the first six weeks of the season. After the six week period is up, the Ravens will have a chance to work out the pair for two weeks before deciding to activate them, place them on injured reserved or release them.
