Oakland Gametime!
Unless you are living in a cave....the Raiders season is kicking off in less than a few hours!
Your Oakland Raiders will be taking the field against the Dallas Cowboys, in Texas, at their "slightly" new stadium. Oakland had a chance to try out the field last year, losing on Thanksgiving Day in the second start from Bruce Gradkowski.
Pre-season games have their advantages. Teams get to test their training in live action, they get to see how players handle different looks to other teams. With Dallas, they'll get to see a tough defense, paired up with an offensive package that does know how to score points on occasion.
The downside to preseason games, obviously is the injury possibility. Players can have ACL tears, break bones or even wind up spraining something, then being out for a couple months.
For what it's worth, several players will be out, Darren McFadden, for one. In it's own way, it'll be up to the team to learn what running backs will work best, so some may see their only chance to play...play well, folks.
Going out on a limb here, but I'll take Oakland 21, Dallas 10....If the Raiders give Dallas a late TD.
