Spezza Talks Heating Up

If you have been paying attention lately to Ottawa Senator news, you would have heard all the rumors surrounding our number one center.

Jason Spezza's name has been tossed around the last few weeks leading up to the NHL Entry Draft, as possible trade bait for a higher pick. Now I hate even bringing this up, because to me it seems like a bone headed move to make on the Ottawa Senators part. Jason Spezza is our number one player right now, not to mention our number one center. So trade him for what? To the Edmonton Oilers for their first overall pick and take Tyler Seguin? I don't really know what Bryan Murry is thinking.

A team has not been named who is the front runner for Spezza, but I can assume it will be a team in the top 5 of this years draft. The one team I can point to would be Boston. I know the Bruins have made a phone call or two regarding Spezza's services, and really, to lose a 2nd overall pick for Spezza, wouldn't do too much harm to the Bruins.

So I'll try and stay on top of this one for your, and bring you the news when it happens!
