Kiehl Frazier Looking to Bring More Top Players to the Plains

Kiehl-Frazier-17 Kiehl Frazier was an Auburn Tiger before any of the Auburn family knew. Everyone except the coaching staff of course. Find out more in the Q&A with Frazier below on MTR Media's War Eagle Nation blog.

When did you know that Auburn was the place for you? Really just the people down there that I already knew. Coach Chizik, Malzahn, Dakota Mosley and Michael (Dyer) are really great and I built some good friendships with a lot of the players on the team now. Everyone there knows where the program's going, has embraced the system, and they're definitely headed in the right place.

Right after your commitment, you turned into a recruiter for Auburn just like former Ark. recruit Michael Dyer did. Have you had an impact so far? I'm definitely trying to do what Dyer did. I know I want to win, and with the team they have, they can win, so I know a lot of the uncommitted guys and hopefully I can get some guys to come with me so we can do that.

Arkansas prep players Brey Cook and Jon Hawes have both been linked to Auburn as possible commits, as well as Jermauria Rasco from Texas. Have you talked to them about joining you at Auburn? All of those guys are good players and all fit in at Auburn. I'm working really hard to try and get them to become Tigers. I think Brey is close to committing. I know he has it down to two or three teams. Jon is good enough to come down and play, and if he can, he will.(Note: Jon Hawes is a WR at Springdale High with Frazier. He does now have an official offer from AU as of now)

How has the response been from people back home? I don't really look at it or pay attention to it. At the end of the day Auburn was the place for me. Arkansas is a great school and they were in-state, but Auburn was the most comfortable to me and that's why I committed.

Is it true that you committed before Big Cat Weekend? Yeah it is. I actually committed on my trip there about two weeks ago. We just wanted to wait for Big Cat to make i official to everyone. I basically knew the whole time that Auburn was for me. Coach Malzahn has been recruiting me since 9th grade and as soon as I came down and met Coach Chizik I was just really comfortable.

Do you expect to redshirt this season? The coaches have left that up in the air right now. They told me if Cam were to leave that I would be able to come in and and compete for the starting job, but as of right now I don't know.

Which current commits have you gotten to know the best? I hung out with Reese Dismukes a lot this past weekend. I talked to some of the other guys, but I've really been trying to talk to the uncommitted guys the most to try and get them to come to Auburn.

Are you planning on taking anymore visits? I'm going to take as many more official visits as I can to Auburn, but but my recruitment is over. I'm 100 percent Auburn.

What would you like to improve upon the most before arriving at Auburn? My reads. It's the biggest difference between the high school and college game so I'd like my progression to get faster with that. I'll definitely be working on that during the season and summer to get ready.

Are you planning on enrolling early? I'm trying to.I'd like to knock out my stuff in the classroom to be able to go in December but I'm not sure right now.

How excited are you to be an Auburn Tiger? I'm really excited. I was just talking to Emory Blake telling him how I can't wait to get back down there, but now that I'm committed I have to put it behind me for now. I have to focus on this year and do well for my team this season.
