Dual-threat recruit Kris Frost has Auburn very high on his list, set for Auburn camp this weekend

Frost Kris Frost is an interesting recruit out of Butler High in North Carolina. He’s listed as an athlete, and can play both receiver and linebacker. He doesn’t do it because he has to do it, but because he truly excels at both.

“I bring aggression and intensity to both sides of the ball. I’m going to get after the quarterback, and I have a passion for the game. I have good size, and I can go up for the ball and it helps me be able to absorb hits over the middle too. I think my size can take me a long way,” Frost said.

At 6’3’’ and 210 lbs, Frost is listed as the number two athlete on Frost made it to Auburn a little bit too late for Big Cat Weekend, but he and his father made it down anyways. “It was great. It was the same as the other times I’ve been there, and I’ve had a great feel for Auburn each time I’ve been down. I’m actually going there for a camp this weekend. It was a fantastic visit and a lot of fun. I got another good vibe, and I’m just weighing out the pros and cons of each school,” Frost told MTR Auburn.

Summer is big for Frost, as he has huge plans lined up. He said he was currently in the process of lining up his schedule and he has lots of places to go. “After Auburn’s camp, I’m going to a Michigan camp the week after. Those are the only camps I’m doing. I may visit UNC tomorrow before I head to Auburn too. Then I’ll be going to USC and Clemson, UGA and Georgia Tech, and Virginia and West Virginia. I’m only working out for Auburn and Michigan though,” said Frost.

Fitting in at Auburn shouldn’t be a problem, and his versatility is something the Auburn coaching staff loves. “It could go either way. They think I fit in on both sides, and they’ll see some stuff this weekend both ways. I’m gonna show them what I can do at receiver this weekend and cover some guys, and they’ll be able to see what I can do. It’s not just a camp for me though. I’m gonna work hard, but I want to have another good visit. They’ll be able to see more and know more and see what they like,” Frost added.

Auburn is already in a good spot for Frost. “Auburn is in a high, high position. If I had to give a rough estimate, I’d say it’s Auburn, Michigan, UNC, Georgia Tech, LSU, and Cal. They’re among the highest, and they’ve shown me a whole lot. They’ve shown me how I fit into the scheme and all that. I’m gonna compare all the schools, and I’ll make my final decision at the Army All-American game.”

When Frost takes his other visits, he knows one thing will stand out with Auburn. “The coaches are all the same in a lot of ways. It’s not all about the program, how great the program is and all that. They want to know how I feel and how I feel like things are going which is great. My parents and I both have the feeling that if I choose Auburn, I’ll be in great hands. They would never have to worry. I’d be in great hands with Coach Chizik and the whole staff. I’ve had conversations with every single one of them, and each one I’ve talked to, it’s like talking to a friend and not a coach,” he said.

That’s just one of many things he likes about Auburn. There’s always that recurring theme with Auburn. That’s family. “I haven’t been on a lot of visits, but Auburn is so family oriented. They they talk to you makes you feel like their son, and they pay close attention, and show you they really care. Even if I don’t commit there, they’d still be there for me. I love that. I’m going to find out if the other schools are like that. I find our more and more I like everytime I go down there,” Frost concluded.
