Volchenkov Becoming A Lost Cause

Yet again another Senators blog talking about their biggest UFA come Canada day.

Anton Volchenkov and the Senators have made no new progress toward re-signing the big D-man. Everything is pointing toward Volchenkov leaving Ottawa.

Some new news on it that I have heard is that Volchenkov's house in Ottawa has also been put on the open market. In the midst of that I heard even some people suggesting a move back to his mother land. Russia. Could this mean a stint in the KHL, or made just a new house for the summer back in Russia. Who really knows anymore, but I'm not ruling out any possibilities.

As for the teams still looking to pick him up come July 1st, the front runner still seems to be the Washington Capitals, followed closely by the New York Rangers. Another team has also been said to have a very great interest in Volchenkov, the Vancouver Canucks. By any means anyway, the Senators don't look like one of those teams interest in Volchenkov.

I will keep on top of this as much as I can until that July 1st date, when we will all find out where and what the A-Train will be doing.

I would like to also extend a special congrats to Chuck over at The Flying Frenchmen for all the hard work and dedication he has put into his great blog, doing just over 17,000 hits last week! Keep it up Chuck!
