American Association Batting Champions 19th Century

The American Association existed from only 1882-1891 but it had a huge impact upon baseball and to this day when you see the St. Louis Cardinals, Cincinnati Reds, Pittsburgh Pirates and the LA Dodgers you are seeing teams that started out in the AA.  Below is the list of their batting champions;

As you can see Pete Browning and Tip O'Neill both won two batting titles.  B0th were great players in their time.  Dan Brouthers won a batting title in the NL also.  Tip O' Neill hit .435 in 1887 the highest BA in  AA history.
