…And a 6 game win streak for the Phillies who defeated the Braves tonight, in Atlanta, for a record setting 8th time in a row. And the guy who earned the win was rookie JA Happ who pitched in place of the struggling Kyle Kendrick. Happ pitched a 3 hit shut-out through 6 innings and then the bullpen took care of the rest, allowing only 1 run which led to a 6-1 victory. Looks like Happ will be here to stay. Shane Victorino had quite a night; he went 3 for 4 and continued playing even after he bunted a ball off his finger in the 6th inning which went foul. Ouch! He appeared to be ok though. Jayson Werth continues to be red hot – he was 2 for 4 and drew a walk. Werth also stole 3rd base in the 1st inning which wound up being a run scored due to a throwing error by Braves catcher, Brian McCann.
Overall, another solid win for the Phillies. And another peaceful night’s sleep for me! I can now go to bed with visions of playoffs in my head; along with adorable woodland creatures J Cole Hamels will pitch tomorrow night against Jo-Jo Reyes who is sporting a 3-11 record. Jo-Jo? Seriously? I once had a crazy Aunt with a dog named Jo-Jo. Well, goofy name aside, we should be able to pound the heck out of a guy with 3-11 record and a 5.50 ERA. Let’s see if we can sweep the Braves one more time!

Funny comments about woodland creatures and Jo-Jo, a name featured prominently in the Beatles song "Get Back". Get back, Jo Jo!
