Hamels Dominates In Series Win

Cole_hamels_3 How beautiful was tonight. The New York Mets had already lost and Cole Hamels was on a mission. Rebound the team from last night and end the day in second place. Mission accomplished. Cole Hamels pitched a complete game shut out while Pedro Feliz, Ryan Howard, and Shane Victorino all went deep to give the Phillies a 5-0 win.

Hamels only gave up 4 hits in notching his 5th win of the year. He was simply dominant and gave the Phillies a boost after Brett Myers debacle last night. For anyone that was worried about Hamels after a couple of subpar (for Hamels) outings, their doubts are gone.

The other doubt that is starting to wain is about Ryan Howard. The big man went deep for the second night in a row and he is looking more the part of a clean up hitter. Savor the win tonight Phillies fans. We are in second place and it is time to go fishing for Marlin!

I like that. Go fishing for Marlins. You forgot to mention they need to shot down a few Blue Jays first in order to get there.

Yeah, let's start with Scott Rolen!
